Hey all you fashion lovers out there!
I am an undergrad at the University of Rhode Island-- and I'll be the first to admit that Fashion and Beauty consumes my life (I'm addicted!). You can look forward to reading about: what I bought, style ideas and interepations from movies/tv shows/celebrities, also what my current obessions are, how to shop on a budget and much more!!
I figured I would make my fist post about my blog name considering that explains a lot about how you view fashion and beauty today! The term "revival" means to revive or bring back to life, there for style revival means the reviving of a certian style. And I personally think that explains what todays fashion is all about, in each decade there is this one style that goes hand in hand with that decade (eg. 90s grunge, 70s peasant blouses, 60s mod, etc.) however today there isn't one style that you can capture that will scream 2010! However, I do believe the word "revival" captures it perfectly, you can look around and you see the crop tops and boyfriend jeans from the 90s, the blouses and rompers that remind of the 70s and the short color-blocked minis of the 60s, the lacey tights and mesh shirts of the 80s! This decade screams revival! So take your favorite fashion decade and revive it, and maybe you'll actually begin to feel like your in it!
